TowBoatU.S. Launches in Sacramento, Bringing help to Local Boaters

(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento boaters now have a new safety net on the water. TowBoatU.S., a national marine assistance service often described as “AAA for boats,” has launched its first-ever operation in the Sacramento region.

Owner Rob Fassett says Sacramento’s boat community has been missing a service like this.

“There are tow boat services in the San Francisco Bay and the Delta down in the Stockton area, but nothing in Sacramento. We saw a void here, so we reached out to TowBoatU.S. and said, ‘Hey, we’d love to open up a tow boat service in the Sacramento market.’ And they were all for it.”

The service offers on-water towing, jump starts, fuel delivery, and help for boats stuck on sandbars, just in time for the busy summer boating season.

A yearly membership costs around $200 and covers unlimited service. Without it, a single tow could cost upwards of $350 an hour.

Local response has been overwhelmingly positive, with boaters welcoming the peace of mind that help is finally nearby.
