Libertyville barely beat Loyola Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn’t the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Ramblers on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Higham made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. Libertyville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Lincoln-Way East on the 3rd. As for Loyola Academy, they also didn’t take long to hit the field again: they’ve already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Providence Catholic on the 7th.
