The Sacramento City College Panthers lost to the San Francisco City College Rams 16-17 on Saturday, Aug. 5 for the Panthers’ first game of the season.
For the first two quarters, the Panthers held a lead against the Rams, but the game ended with the Rams handing the Panthers their first loss.
The Panthers headed to practice Monday ahead of their next game against Butte College on Saturday, Sept. 5. After a practice game against Feather River, Butte College won their first game of the season against Foothill College. If City College manages a win against Butte, the Panthers will bring their record back up to .500. In the weeks upcoming, the Panthers will play the Redwoods, De Anza and Foothill College.
