NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Swim and Dive athletes Madyson Morse and Eva Reyes closed championship season this weekend with appearances at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships and NCAA Diving Zone Diving Championships.
Reyes finished 31st in 3M, turning in a mark of 239.55 in 3M, and 23rd in 1M with a score of 238.10. Reyes made her third straight appearance in the NCAA Zones, after earning a third-straight MVC 1M championship this season. She is the only diver in MVC history to earn MVC 1M titles as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
Meanwhile, Morse finished 10th and 9th respectively in the 50y and 100y Breast at the CSCAA NIC. She went 28.42 for 4th in the 50 breast prelims before turning in a time of 29.01 in the finals. In Friday’s 100y Breast Morse went 1:01.72 for 7th in the prelims and 1:02.92 for 9th in the 100y breast finals.
