The Alvarado Estates Fire Safe Council and Kensington Fire Safe will host a community forum regarding fire safety on Thursday, Nov. 21. The 6:30 p.m. event will take place at Herbert Hoover High School, 64474 El Cajon Blvd.
The recent Montezuma Fire left many in the community with questions and concerns, as well as a renewed commitment to better prepare themselves, their home and their neighborhood for wildfire.
Residents can join in this community forum with top officials to hear:
● Fire overview, evacuation and other issues
● The latest science on home ignition zone, defensible space, ember resistance
● Resources to help warn and update you during a wildfire event
● How Fire Safe Councils can help your neighborhood prepare for wildfires.
