Chicago State Women’s Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA Academic Recognition





The Chicago State women’s cross country team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Thursday.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The CSU women’s team had a cumulative GPA of 3.12.

NC State was named the Women’s Scholar Team of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country season. The Wolfpack, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.51, won the team title at the 2023 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was NC State’s third consecutive title, matching a streak of just two other programs in meet history. This is also the third consecutive time that the Wolfpack have been named the Women’s Scholar Team of the Year for the cross country season.
