Chicago State Men’s Golf Selected to Finish Ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference



In a poll released today by the Ohio Valley Conference, the Chicago State men’s golf team was selected to finish ninth in the 11-team conference. 

Chicago State is competing as an affiliate member of the Ohio Valley Conference before moving to the Northeast Conference (NEC) with all other Chicago State sports programs next season. The Ohio Valley Conference has a total of 11 men’s golf teams and last year’s champion Little Rock was selected to repeat in 2024, receiving 100 points and 10 first-place votes. 

SIUE was selected to finish second with 88 points and received the remaining (1) first-place vote. UT Martin was picked to finish third, followed by Morehead State, Southern Indiana, Tennessee Tech, Lindenwood, Western Illinois, Chicago State, Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois. The complete poll is listed below. 

The Cougars open the season February 18-19 at the Alabama State Invitational and are scheduled to play in seven events during the spring culminating with the OVC Conference Championship April 21-24 at The Shoals Golf Club in Muscle Shoals, Alabama followed by the final event of the season, the PGA Works at TPC Sawgrass in Jacksonville, Florida May 6-8.
