Chicago State Men's Cross Country Opens Cross Country Season at NIU Huskie Classic

DEKALB, Ill. — Denis Kirui led Chicago State Athletics in the men’s 6k at NIU North 40, placing 16th in 20:14.7. Collins Kuyo followed in 22nd with a time of 20:37.0, while Jason Artega and James Ratcliff finished 35th and 36th, respectively. This race marked Ratcliff’s first collegiate race.
 
Among the listed CSU finishers, Kirui averaged 5:25.8 per mile and Kuyo averaged 5:31.8. Artega placed 35th in 24:26.6 and Ratcliff finished 36th in 25:57.3.
