Nothing beats the value of daily work, though, and Jefferson is taking advantage of every snap.
“I see a lot of great plays being made out there. I see, really, a lot of learning out there,” Jefferson said. “We’re really just all trying to get on the same page, get connected like we know we should be. And once it all gets dialed in, the connection, the relationship, all of that stuff just comes together.”
Murray, who signed with the Vikings as a free agent this spring, told media Wednesday he’s spent time every day in Minnesota’s playbook as he learns a new system. The homework has paid off, as Jefferson noted Murray is “definitely getting more comfortable” with Kevin O’Connell’s scheme.
Jefferson acknowledged the “very complex and very difficult” offense.
“A lot of moving parts and moving pieces to it,” he said. “So just like I said, the communication part of it — talking to him (Murray) and making sure he understands where I need to be, where he would like me to be, all of those different things. Being on that same page is a key factor.”
