Women’s Golf Adds Another for 2026-27

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head coach Jackie Szymoniak has added another newcomer for the 2026-27 season in Chomchanok (Minnie) Laparojkit, who will have two seasons of eligibility with the Redbirds.

“We are excited to welcome Minnie to the team,” said Szymoniak. “She will come to ISU with two years of experience at the junior college level where she learned how to win, embraced a team atmosphere and showcased a strong work ethic. She is eager and excited to further her education at this great University and to learn and grow her game as a member of the ISU Women’s Golf Team. With the other three signees for the class of 2026, in addition to the returning team members, Redbird Golf is setup for a strong 2026-27 campaign!”

Laparojkit is the 60th-ranked golfer in NJCAA Division I and has nine top 10 finishes in 11 events, including at Central Plains Invitational, where she finished first of 41 golfers with rounds of 74-72.

The native of Hat Yai, Thailand, she was the runner-up at the Bethel Fall Invitational, while finishing third at the Central Kansas Classic and at the Falcon Cup Classic. In her first season at Barton, she was ranked 72nd in the country and had five top 10 finishes in the year.
