Redbird Men's Tennis Finalizes 2025 Spring Schedule



NORMAL, Ill.—  The Illinois State men’s tennis team has announced its 2025 Spring schedule on Monday. ISU will compete in a total of 23 regular season matches. Five matches will be against Summit League opponents, four matches will be against power-five conferences which include both the ACC and Big Ten.

The Redbirds will open up the season on January 18 at home when they host Saint Joseph University (PA), this will be followed by two matches on January 19 as ISU welcomes Marquette and Eastern Illinois for a pair of matches at Evergreen Racquet Club.

ISU will then round out the month of January at home against Ball State (Jan. 25) before traveling to South Bend to take on the University of Notre Dame (Jan. 26). The Birds will return to Normal for a  match against Northern Illinois (Feb. 1),  before hitting the road once again for four consecutive matches against IUPUI (Feb. 7) , New Mexico State (Feb. 9), Tulsa (Feb. 9) and Northwestern (Feb. 15).

The team will return to Bloomington for a match with Western Michigan (Feb. 16) before traveling to Indiana, Arizona, Wisconsin and Alabama for respective matches against Wisconsin (Feb. 19), Purdue (Feb. 23), Grand Canyon (Mar. 1) and Saint Mary’s of California (Mar. 9).

The Birds’ will conclude the regular season with four of the final seven matches being against Summit League competition. ISU takes on Creighton (Mar. 22), Omaha  (Mar. 23) and Drake (Mar. 26)  to finalize the month of March. They then take on Denver (Mar. 28), St Louis (Mar. 29) before hosting Oral Roberts (Apr. 12) and will then travel to Grand Forks to face the University of North Dakota (Apr. 5).

The Summit League Championships will begin on April 18 and conclude on April 19. This year’s championships will be hosted on the campus of Denver University.
