Former Cal Poly resident advisor Alexis Alejandro pleads not guilty for burglary, intent to commit rape charges 

Former Cal Poly resident advisor Alexis Alejandro, 25, pleaded not guilty to burglary and assault with intent to commit rape charges at Tuesday’s arraignment. 

Alejandro was charged Thursday in connection to the Sept. 7 Poly Canyon Village break-in. The victim reported waking up to the burglar holding their hand over the victim’s mouth.

Alejandro’s bail is set to $200,000, according to the case summary. He remains in custody as of today. 

He is set to reappear in court on Oct. 7 for a bail reduction hearing. 

Public defenders Brian Buckley and Tiffany Dix are representing Alejandro. San Luis Obispo County Deputy District Attorney Kristin Barnard is serving as the prosecution. Judge Timothy Covello will preside over the case.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 9.
